Near-term Profit

American share market is still a secular bear market. We will not be out of it in probably next 5 years. Generally speaking, it is not worth it to invest in stock for 5 years unless you want dividend income or long-term investment like about 10 years. Not even longer than one year since the economy is still uncertain. It is better off to speculate for near-term profit for now.


Look at the current P/E ratio. It is relatively high at almost 20. The average S&P 500 P/E ratio is only 15. Also look at the index, it has no direction.
